Outreach
Communicate God’s love through Outreach
Capital is committed to reaching the community with a clear and
concise presentation of Jesus. To many, the word evangelism scares
people. In both the church and the community, it can create a feeling
of anxiety. Thoughts of a TV preacher or an overzealous neighbor
have often been prescribed under the banner of an evangelist.
At Capital, evangelism means something totally different. It means
reaching out with a type of sensitivity and compassion that was
illustrated by Jesus. Simply put, our strategy for community outreach
is to love people for where they are, not for where we believe they
need to be.
Our church family illustrates Christ love by providing a clear and
concise picture of Jesus. Imagine being part of a team that communicates
God’s love in a practical way. Your life, your story, your
daily interactions effect other people’s lives. It’s
reaching people where they are and loving them regardless of what
they look like, think like, or believe.
The message and hope illustrated through the life of Jesus should
be inclusive to every person who believes. Whether it’s an outreach that feeds the homeless or invests
in an inner city school, a coach serving a local sports team or
a full presentation in a maximum security prison, Capital seeks
to reach all people. |
